WHY DO YOU PUT ON WEIGHT? Do you dislike your body? Have you or your child tried to lose weight only to see a rebound gain? Have you lost weight in “the wrong places”? Do you think that gaining weight as you get older is inevitable? Do you believe that unwanted weight can lead to an illness and worry that it might be you? Does your weight curtail your enjoyment of life? Do you get uncontrollable sweet cravings yet realise that eating sweets only makes you fatter? Do you believe that being overweight is affecting your health? If you answer “yes” to any of the above questions, then you need a professional weight loss approach. Let’s not beat around the bush. Unwanted fat can make you miserable – and predispose you to illness. And it is not your fault! Let me explain.

Carbohydrate surplus

It is no longer a secret that most visceral fat is caused by eating too many carbohydrates. Carbohydrates surplus is ubiquitous in today’s society. Whether it is in the form of breads, breakfast cereals, wholegrains, soft drink, alcohol, cakes, biscuits or desserts, confectionary or just plain sugar – even fruit and vegetables – you are being offered it everywhere you turn. Even low GI carbohydrates when taken to excess can cause problems. So, rampant misinformation amongst the white noise of magazines and TV is causing your society peers to grow fatter, generation by generation. So, what may be the answer? Let me explain …

You see… the damaging fat that can cause your life to shorten is visceral fat. This is fat that accumulates inside your abdomen (spare tyre). And you don’t accumulate it by eating too much fat because your body makes it! The other sort of fat is subcutaneous fat – that is fat under your skin.

Visceral fat. The origin of this is often considered to be a bit of a mystery. What if the majority of your digestive system was in distress from leaky gut? It would really need to summon more energy to cope with the massive inflammation that was assailing it every minute of the day. And what is the body’s primary energy source? Fat! So, fat will accumulate where it is needed – and in this case, it is your gut muscle! This is the fat that may cause inflammation. And – if dietary fat was being partly sourced from “bad” fats from the diet, it just makes matters worse.

How do you know which fat is which and whether your weight loss strategy is working – or even which strategy to adopt? Do you want to avoid a “quick fix” that sees you lose weight indiscriminately for a while or “lose it in the wrong places”?

The answer lies in our unique approach to weight loss – that is really health-building. Part of our secret is that we use the VLA body composition assessment technique (also known as the BIA). The other part is that we recommend foods to you that you will come to love and so the solution may remain ongoing – for the rest of your life. Oh and it may build health and vitality along the way.

Let us show you how you may step through the minefield and come out laughing.

That means to you that if you want to lose the sort of fat that can lead to illness and shortening of your life, you need to take it off. Losing weight is easy. Keeping it off is hard but can be achieved comfortably, given the right protocol. Good luck in your pursuit.

Does this mean that you have to starve or leave out the “fun” foods? Not really. In fact many people report that they have never eaten (and enjoyed) so much when they follow our simple proposal. That is because our revolutionary approach to food improves health and vitality and helps sluggish systems “get back to work”.

Healthy weight loss

While more and more people now advocate our “back to the future” approach to food selection, many so called experts are still stuck in the past. The goals of systematic – and pleasant – weight loss can all be reached if you have a plan. You can do it by degrees – following a well worked-out strategy. Then the whole thing can be a piece of cake. (Oops, sorry).

Well-meaning “expert” advice.

The old saying goes: the road to hell is paved with good intent. The trouble is that most “expert” dietary suggestions see people giving it a rip, lose some kilos quickly and then the effort to maintain this new look begins to tell. Mood swings set in, food cravings dominate, they look gaunt and unhealthy (and feel it) and – before you can say ‘pass that extra helping of lamb and sweet potato, please’ – they’re back to their former overweight self .

Structured, balanced approach

That means to you that by using a structured approach, it is possible to help improve the efficiency of your digestive organs, lose weight steadily, lose the orange-peel thighs, avoid the mood swings, allay the food cravings and prevent the rebound weight gain. Phew! That’s a mouthful (groan) I know, but therein lies our little secret. But need you starve? Not at all. In fact, you will probably eat more food than you usually do. And enjoy it a lot more.

Sensible rules

That means to you – it IS possible to reduce a sensible weight loss approach to a formula, including a wide selection of foods and fine wines. Obtain the SECRET by contacting us at info@wellnesscentre.com.au

* Low Reactive FoodsThese are foods which are more compatible with you. Our clinic recommends these foods that have been compiled exhaustively after 30 years of clinical research by us as well as others. They are essentially foods to which you will have very little reaction against of an allergic nature. Our recommendations are made after careful evaluation of each individual who comes into our clinic. .

** VLA Body composition analysis. The VLA is a medical device used in most European hospitals. It tells us the following:Total Body Fat (Kgs); Total muscle; Total body water (compartmentalised as either intracellular or extracellular water); Biological Age; Vitality Index; Phase Angle; Fluid Retention Factor (fluid balance) (basically expressed cellular toxins); recommended calorie intakes, broken down into protein, fats and carbohydrates); Basal Metabolic Rate; Body Mass Index. .

*** Insulin Resistance. This is the state where your body’s muscle cells can no longer absorb glucose from the bloodstream under the action of insulin. This metabolic chaos. Your insulin – primarily an energy-storage hormone – will then convert all “unwanted” glucose to fat. This is laid down all over your body. . The following is a Case History of Insulin resistence. . H—- is a lady who immigrated as a trim, attractive, healthy new mother from central Europe fifteen years ago. She began mysteriously gaining weight shortly after her arrival. She said that all she did was to “eat the Australian way”. I take it she meant the earnest TV “eat no fat” trendies. She became fat and unwell. She presented two weeks ago. In our clinic, we succeeded in increasing her muscle mass by 3.5 Kg in a fortnight, when she also lost 4 litres of unwanted fluid, according to VLA measurements. She included fats and uncooked oils as an essential dietary component along with plenty of low-reactive protein foods (i.e. suitable to her particular make-up) and ditched the grains (breads and cereals) for a while, just getting her carbohydrates from fruit and veg. Her type was suited to this regime – that doesn’t suit everybody.

You DO need to have your food selections individualised to give you a good start. She has actually now started to lose body fat as well – although I did not expect this result for another couple of weeks. Naturally, I also gave her practitioner supplements that I cannot mention for ethical reasons.Of course, H—- had other issues – an ongoing post-viral illness of many years’ standing (I suspect the Eppstein Barr virus). Bloating, lack of energy, osteo-arthritis, asthma, hypoglycaemia, unbearable itching under the skin when eating foods and psoriasis of the scalp all featured in her current life. The bloating and itching had already eased after the first fortnight and she seemed more comfortable posturally. You see, inflammation borne of allergy and insulin resistance does not take long to subside once you commence a regime that focuses on the fundamentals of food allergy and good, balanced sense. This would be a case in point of classic carbohydrate overload and acquired insulin resistance. I will keep you posted on H—-‘s Wellness journey. ADVERTISEMENT Normalise your weight.
